Privacy Policy
What we collect when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Bridging Solutions (“we,” “us”) helps Filipinos living abroad with legal and property matters in the Philippines. People often tell us about sensitive things, such as a marriage, an inheritance, or a pending case, so we take that trust seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
What you give us
- Consultation requests. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the type of matter you need help with, plus anything optional you choose to add: phone or WhatsApp/Viber number, where you live, your preferred way to be contacted, and the description of your concern.
- Messages and calls. Anything you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp, Viber, or other messaging apps.
- Documents for your matter. If we work together, we may ask for documents such as IDs, titles, certificates, or court records. We’ll tell you how to send them securely. Please don’t send confidential documents through the contact form.
What is collected automatically
- Basic server logs. Our website host (Google Firebase Hosting) records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the site.
- Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google.
- No tracking cookies. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t currently use analytics tools. After you send the contact form, your first name and contact preference are kept briefly in your browser’s session storage so the thank-you page can greet you. This stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation.
- To understand your matter and connect you with an appropriate licensed professional in the Philippines.
- To coordinate documents, follow up, and keep you updated while we work on your matter.
- To keep records of our work and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
- To protect our website and our clients from fraud, spam, and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
- Philippine legal professionals. To help with your matter, we share the relevant details with the independent, licensed professional handling it. We discuss this with you before connecting you, and we share only what is needed.
- Service providers who help us run the business and only process information on our behalf: Web3Forms (delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox), Namecheap Private Email (email hosting), and Google (website hosting and fonts).
- When required by law. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our clients, ourselves, or others.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and work with professionals in the Philippines. Your information may be stored or processed in the United States, the Philippines, and other countries where our service providers operate. By working with us, you understand that your information will move between these countries so we can help with your matter.
Sensitive information
Legal and family matters can involve sensitive personal information, such as marital status, health, government IDs, or details of a court case. Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), this is treated as sensitive personal information. We collect it only when it’s needed for your matter, with your consent, and share it only with the people helping you.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don’t lead to working together: deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
- Client matters: kept for as long as your matter is active, and afterward for as long as reasonably needed for record-keeping, legal, or tax purposes.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See “Your choices and rights” below.
How we protect it
Our website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. We limit access to your information to the people who need it to help you, and we use secure methods for exchanging documents. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal reasons or an active matter;
- stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw your consent.
Depending on where you live (for example, the Philippines, certain U.S. states, or the European Union), local law may give you additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority such as the Philippine National Privacy Commission. To make a request, email info@bridgingsolutions.net. We’ll respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Children
Our website and services are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 18 through this website. If a matter involves a child, such as an adoption, a parent or guardian should contact us.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to websites we don’t control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll make reasonable efforts to let our current clients know.
